St Vincent de Paul Society NSW has been commissioned to provide a range of essential Local Area Coordination services to transition tens of thousands of people living with disability in NSW into the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
The National Disability Insurance Agency has selected both St Vincent de Paul Society NSW and Uniting to assist with community awareness, participant plan readiness and plan implementation.
These services will assist people living with disability to transition into the NDIS, connect to their local community and gain more choice and control over their lives.
“The St Vincent de Paul Society mission is built on the philosophy of providing a “hand up” to people in need and supporting those who live with disability is one of our special work priorities,” says President Denis Walsh. “We are honoured to be able to extend that mission in our role as NDIS Local Area Coordinators”.
St Vincent de Paul Society NSW will deliver NDIS transition Local Area Coordination
services to five NSW districts until June 2018. Those districts are Hunter New England, Central Coast, Sydney, South Eastern Sydney and SouthWestern Sydney.
