Save the date! National Volunteer Week (9–15 May)

National Volunteer Week (NVW) is an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers. Mark your calendar! From 9–15 May 2016 thousands of events across the country will be held to say thank you to the more than 6 million Australians who volunteer including thank you breakfasts, morning teas and sausage sizzles as well as open days, awards ceremonies, street parades, garden parties and movie nights.

National Student Volunteer Week (3-9 August)

It’s BACK! From 3-9 August, National Student Volunteer Week (NSVW) will inspire young people to get involved in volunteering. The week will encourage more innovative and meaningful student engagement under the theme – challenge yourself, be the change, and celebrate each other. Rosalie Rendu Lecture (October)

The Rosalie Rendu Lecture is held annually in honour of Blessed Rosalie Rendu – inspiring Vincentians and our communities to respond to the practical challenges of our time.

International Volunteer Day (5 December)

International Volunteer Day (IVD) is mandated by the UN General Assembly and is held each year on 5 December. It is a day for volunteers and volunteer based organizations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to showcase the difference they make in their communities.
